Classes!

NCCU has been a wonderful place to be so far. I have learned a lot of things and experienced a lot of things in less than 2 months. My classes are getting tougher...lol. I look back at how I first thought of my classes and I was like "Oh, my classes are easy", but as time progresses it's getting more difficult. I'm still doing well though. My earliest class is at 9:25am and I dread waking up and going to that class every Tuesday and Thursday. I'm glad it's only two days out of the week. I'm also proud of myself because, I have been present in all of my classes. I have not missed one day. When I talk to other students on the campus they tell me they've missed 2 and 3 classes already. I'm just like wow, how is that? I believe that I am going to continue to do well in school and I'm looking forward to the future.

The First Home Football Game!

Last Saturday was NCCU's first home football game against Morehead State (I believe that's the name). I was very excited because I love football games. Not only was it the first home football game, it was also Family Weekend. I wish I would have invited my family, but they did come to the football game. I was so happy to see my sisters and parents. The football game was very interesting. We were losing at first but then caught up. It was hard to pay attention because the heat was distracting me..lol. I could not believe it was that hot and earlier that week it was kind of cool outside. But back to the game.....we were doing well but had to go into overtime because the score was 10 to 10. I left early, but someone told me the final score was 10 to 13. We LOST IN DOUBLE OVERTIME :(. I was very dissappointed because we haven't won a game yet. But we always have next time. But yea I had a good time.

Weekend Adventures

For some reason this weekend was really exciting to me. I didn't do much on Friday but I had a lot of fun hanging out with people in my Residence Hall. Saturday was probably the best day for me this weekend. I woke up early Saturday Morning for "Make A Difference Day". That was about helping clean up the community. Suprisingly I had a lot of fun and met new people. It was something new that I hadn't yet experienced. Later on that day some friends and I decided that we were gonna go to the movies/mall. But in order to get there we had to ride the bus. I was kind of skeptical at first because I had never been on a City Bus. It went well though. We had a few laughs about the people that were on the bus (maybe that was mean) but yea. I just had a good weekend overall; I wish they all could be like that. But I am also looking forward to this weekend coming up because we have our first home football game. I am sooo excited. I am ready to cheer on my Eagles. Hopefully they win :). Well I guess this is it.... TTYL

Going Back Home

Hey......I'm back. I finally went home this weekend for Labor Day. It was really nice seeing all of my family and friends. I was mainly excited to see my little sister Taliah. It felt so good being in a home and taking a shower without shower shoes...lol! The food was great too.

Once I got settled at home I got a little bored and was ready to come back to school. My roommate left for the weekend too but got back before me. So I was really ready to go back. I was kind of shocked at the fact that I wanted to go back to school so quickly. My family was not too happy about that either...lol. They wanted me to stay longer but I refused and got back to school early Monday afternoon. Because I went back to school so early I missed the Labor Day dinner my grandmother was cooking but that's okay because at least I got to come back to my New "home".

Getting Used to Things

I've been here for a good three weeks now, and i've finally got used to things. Classes are pretty good, but the first week was hectic because everybody had to find out whether or not they were in the right classes and schedules kept changing. My classes are not that hard because most of it is review from high school so that's good.

The food took a good week to get used to (not that it was bad). I really like the take out place on the other side of the cafe..because when the cafe closes that will be open til Eleven. The Smart Market is my favorite!!! It has access to all the candy that i want LOL. But I think I need to slow down on using my flex dollars. But yeah, I like NCCU and its going great.
